Democracy and Active Citizenship

Grundtvig III - course for you, who work with democracy
and active citizenship and need tools and inspiration
to political navigation, mobilization and dialogue.
Target group:
Adult teachers involved in democracy projects. Civil
servants or NGO-activists working in the field between
citizens and decision-makers with activities related
to active citizenship.
Duration:
5 days related to 5 central themes of democracy development
and civic involvement.
Goals:
Focus on possibilities and problems related to democracy
development
To create well functioning networks between citizens
and civil servants and across borders in the EU
To develop possibilities for personal and professional
development for the target group of the education
Contents:
The education has been developed as a bridge between
the fields of Political Science and Adult Pedagogy.
This has given interesting new perspectives on the
two traditionally separated fields.
The main themes are the following:
o Conception of democracy and roles
o Political navigation and agenda setting
o Tools for Empowerment and dialogue
o Communication and implementation
o EU and local democracy
Dates:
The Grundtvig III Course runs from 3rd to 7th of May
2010
Scheduled hours of teaching from 9 - 15

Price:
1000 Euros including tuition, accommodation and subsistence.
