Basic Adult Education Course
Erling Ekegren, Head of Institute
As a concept the Basic Adult Education Course - BAEC,
is meant to activate the participants through practice
and dialogue. To cover this concept the course incorporates
practical assignments with the illustration of various
theories within the field of adult pedagogy.
The main prupose of the basic course is to provide
the participants with teaching skills, enabling them
to plan, carry out and evaluate the adult learning
process. During the course the participants develop
pedagogical and personal competence relevant to their
skills.
To meet this purpose a teacher must master a variety
of skills, one being to validate what kind of professional
and personal experiences the participants bring to
the classroom.
The adult learning process is an intercommunicative
process, during which the participants are given the
opportunity to develop their own teaching style.
